Pulse Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-08-08
This Privacy Policy explains how UAH Intelligence Technology Co., Limited (registered address: Room 5003, Floor 5, Yau Lee Centre, 45 Hoi Yuen Road, Kwun Tong, Hong Kong; "UAH", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information. It applies to the Pulse smart pet tracker and charging base (collectively, the "Devices"), the Uahpet Pulse mobile application (the "App"), our official website, and your other interactions with us such as customer support and marketing (collectively, the "Services").
• Location information is used only for the Services themselves. We collect and use location information solely to provide you with pet tracking, recovery, safe-zone alerts and related services — not for advertising.
• We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your personal information for targeted advertising.
• Anonymization before AI training. Before user or pet data is used to train artificial-intelligence / machine-learning models, we anonymize or de-identify it.
• You control your data. You can access, correct, export or delete your data at any time.
• The Pulse Devices are designed for pets only and are not for tracking people.
This Policy applies to information we collect through the Services that relates to an identified or identifiable individual ("personal information"). It does not apply to: (a) third-party apps or services you choose to enable (governed by their own privacy policies); or (b) our employees and job applicants (addressed separately).
About Pet Data. The pet location, activity, behavior, sleep, heart-rate/respiration and other data collected by the Devices ("Pet Data") describes your pet rather than you. Because Pet Data is associated with your account, we protect it to the same security standard as personal information and describe its handling in this Policy.

|
Household sharing |
Household members you invite can view the pet data and location information within the scope you authorize |
We do not sell personal information. Precise location data is shared only with the back-end providers necessary to deliver the Services and is not shared with advertising partners.
• Access and correction: You may view and update your account information and pet profile in the App at any time.
• Data export: You may request a copy of your data by contacting privacy@uahpet.com. We will provide it within 45 days in a common electronic format (where a request is complex or involves a large volume of data, we may extend this period as permitted by applicable law and will inform you). The export covers identifiable personal information and Pet Data associated with your account; data that has been aggregated or de-identified and can no longer be associated with you is outside the scope.
• Deletion and account closure: You may request deletion of your data or close your account in the App or by contacting support. We may suspend account functions before the closure process is complete; after closure, we will no longer provide the Services or data access. Please note: location and account data are necessary to provide the tracking service, and deleting such data or closing your account means we can no longer provide some or all of the Services.
• Marketing opt-out: Email unsubscribe link, reply "STOP" to a text, or App push settings — at any time; opting out does not affect operational notices.
• Phone permissions: Location, Bluetooth and notification permissions can be managed in your phone's system settings at any time; the corresponding functions will be unavailable once withdrawn.
• Cookie management: See Section 10.
We will not treat you in a discriminatory way for exercising these rights.
The Services are intended for users aged 18 and over, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from minors. A guardian who invites a minor to use the Services through household sharing is responsible for that minor's use and for providing any legally required consent on the minor's behalf. If we discover that we have collected a minor's personal information without a guardian's consent, we will delete it as soon as possible and fulfil our obligations under applicable law.
We implement technical and organizational measures consistent with industry practice to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, access controls and security audits. Transmission and storage over the internet cannot be guaranteed absolutely secure. If a data-security incident occurs that affects your rights, we will notify you and the relevant regulators as required by applicable law (including U.S. state data-breach notification laws, Canada's PIPEDA and applicable Quebec requirements). Our liability for compensation in respect of a data-security incident is subject to the limitation of liability in Section 15 of the Pulse Terms of Service, except for liability that cannot be excluded by law.
8. Data Storage and Cross-Border Transfer
• Service data is stored on cloud servers located in the United States.
• We are a company located in Hong Kong, and our affiliated R&D team is located in China. Cross-border access to identifiable user data is subject to strict access controls: R&D and operations by default handle only de-identified data, and access to identifiable data requires approval and audit logging.
• Where cross-border data transfers occur, we adopt appropriate safeguards such as contractual protections as required by applicable law. Quebec users, see Section 12.
We may update this Policy from time to time, whether due to business developments, technical changes or legal requirements. We will give notice of material changes by email or in-Service notice at least 7 days in advance; where applicable law requires your express consent, we will seek it separately. The effective date at the top reflects the latest version; historical versions are available on request.
10. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We currently use only strictly necessary cookies (for functions such as maintaining login status, checkout, and security), which do not require your consent. We do not use targeted-advertising cookies or advertising pixels, and we have not integrated any third-party analytics or statistics SDK.
If we introduce analytics or other non-essential cookies/SDKs in the future, we will update this Policy and obtain your consent through a cookie banner before activation, together with a preference-management entry; refusing non-essential cookies will not affect your use of the Services. A detailed cookie list is available in the Cookie Policy.
|
Note: crash/error logs generated during App operation are collected by us for troubleshooting (see "App usage" in Section 2.2) and are not processed by any third-party analytics service. |
The Services may contain links to third-party websites or services, whose privacy practices are their responsibility; please review their privacy policies.
If you are located in Canada, we handle your personal information under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and the privacy laws of your province (including Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25).
• Consent: We collect, use and disclose personal information on the basis of your consent (express or implied as permitted by law); you may withdraw consent at any time, which may affect our ability to provide the Services.
• Your rights: Access and obtain a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct inaccurate information, learn about its use and disclosure, and request deletion (subject to legal retention requirements). See Section 14 for how to exercise them.
• Cross-border processing: Your personal information is stored and processed in the United States and may be processed by service providers in other jurisdictions, whose local law may allow local governments to access information as permitted by law. We require processors by contract to provide comparable protection. Quebec users: before transferring personal information outside Quebec, we conduct a privacy impact assessment and implement appropriate safeguards.
• Privacy Officer: We have designated a Privacy Officer; contact details are in Section 14 (please mark the email subject "Privacy Officer – Canada").
• Complaints: If a matter is not resolved, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca) or, in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information (cai.gouv.qc.ca).
• Data-security incidents: For a breach posing a "real risk of significant harm," we will notify the OPC and affected individuals as required by law; Quebec users are subject to the notification obligation to the CAI.
This Section applies to residents of states with comprehensive consumer-privacy laws in effect, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and Texas.
• Your rights: To know the categories and purposes of personal information collected; to access a copy; to correct inaccurate information; to request deletion; to appeal our denial of a request; and to be free from discrimination for exercising your rights.
• No sale, no sharing: We do not sell personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so no corresponding opt-out is required. If this changes in the future, we will update this Policy and provide the legally required opt-out.
• Sensitive personal information: The precise geolocation we collect (pet location and your authorized phone location) is sensitive personal information, used only to provide the service you request, consistent with state-law limits on the use of sensitive information, so no "limit use" option is required.
• Exercising rights and verification: Submit requests through the contact in Section 14. To protect your information, we may need to verify your identity (e.g., via your account email) and state of residence; you may also designate an authorized agent, whose authority we will verify. We will respond within the statutory timeframe (generally 45 days, extendable as needed).
• California "Shine the Light": We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct-marketing purposes.

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
The interpretation, validity, performance of this Policy and any related disputes are governed by Section 17 (Dispute Resolution: Arbitration Agreement and Class-Action Waiver) and Section 18 (Governing Law) of the Pulse Terms of Service, including the informal-resolution step, individual arbitration, class-action waiver and 30-day opt-out right.
This Section does not affect: the statutory rights and remedies available to you under the privacy laws of your state, province or country — including the right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (Section 12), and the right to complain to a state attorney general or regulator (Section 13) — or any right that cannot be waived by agreement under applicable law.
